The popular harem anime series Date A Live is getting a fifth season, as announced by the official website and Twitter account. The new season, titled Date A Live V, will premiere in 2024 and will continue the story of Shido Itsuka and his encounters with various Spirits. A teaser trailer was also released, featuring the voice of Marina Inoue as Tohka Yatogami, one of the main heroines.
Date A Live is based on a light novel series written by Koushi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. It follows Shido, a high school student who can seal the powers of Spirits, mysterious beings that cause spatial quakes whenever they appear. He is recruited by an organization called Ratatoskr to date the Spirits and make them fall in love with him, thus preventing them from destroying the world. The anime adaptation began in 2013 and has spawned four seasons, a movie, and several spin-offs.
The teaser trailer for Date A Live V shows a glimpse of the upcoming arc, featuring new characters and challenges for Shido and his harem. The trailer also reveals that the staff and cast from the previous season will return, including director Jun Nakagawa, scriptwriter Fumihiko Shimo, character designer Naoto Nakamura, and music composer Go Sakabe. The voice actors for Shido, Tohka, Origami, Kurumi, Kotori, Yoshino, Miku, Natsumi, and Nia will also reprise their roles.
Date A Live Season 5: Release Date
Fans of Date A Live can look forward to more romantic comedy and action scenes in the fifth season and the resolution of some mysteries and conflicts that have been building up in the story. The exact release date and streaming platforms for Date A Live V have not been announced yet, but more information will be revealed. According to AWSMONE, season 5 will definitely be released in 2024, so fans don’t need to worry.

The official Twitter account released a teaser and Date A Live Season 5 poster. No official synopsis has been released yet and the Studio Geek Toys have kept the plot under wraps for now. We expect Season 5 of the anime to continue from the events in Season 4 of Date A Live.
Date A Live Season 4: Recap
In the fourth season of Date A Live, the story begins in Eurasia, where the ‘spatial quake’ causes the death of about 150 million people. 30 years later, we see that the main protagonist, Shido Itsuka, still suffers from the aftermath.
One day, Shido encounters a mysterious girl at ground zero of a spatial quake. He learns from his adoptive sister that the girl is one of the “Spirits.” Beings from different dimensions that cause these quakes. To stop these quakes, Shido must woo and kiss these ‘Spirits’.
