Who does not know Chainsaw Man these days? It is one of the most hyped anime of Fall 2022 and has earned a glaring number of members on MyAnimeList – around 1.1 million as of February 2023.
Despite the amount of fame it has got, the rapid growth of the anime Chainsaw Man has already been anticipated by many fans, considering that the anime is adapted from the well-known manga of the same name. Because of that, the anime adaptation was considered one of the most anticipated anime ever since it was first announced.
As mentioned earlier, Chainsaw Man began life as Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The first arc of the manga series was serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to December 2020. Meanwhile, the second arc began serialization in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine in July 2022. As of January 2023, all chapters have been collected in 13 tankobon volumes.

In the announcement, it was said that MAPPA, the studio that is well-known for producing popular anime such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Kakegurui, was in charge of producing the adaptation. That said, it is no surprise that the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man turned out to be one of the best shounen of 2022.
The anime adaptation Chainsaw Man premiered on October 12, 2022, and ran for 12 episodes before concluding on December 28 of the same year. After the first season has ended, many fans are craving a sequel, considering that the first season has ended with so many things left to explore. As of now, neither the studio nor anyone from the production team has said anything regarding Chainsaw Man Season 2. With that being said, the sequel of this anime still remains a mystery up to this point.

Chainsaw Man Action
